Professor Kevin Morgan

Kevin Morgan is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Clinical Sleep Research Unit at Loughborough University. Since completing doctoral research into drug treatments for insomnia at the Department of Psychiatry, University of Edinburgh, he has maintained a career-long research interest in sleep and health, conducting major clinical trials into the effectiveness of psychological treatments for chronic insomnia. Kevin led the team in designing the content and structure of the Sleepful programme. His current research focusses on the impact of physical activity on insomnia symptoms, and sleep quality in elite sport.

Dr Iuliana Hartescu

Dr Iuliana Hartescu

Iuliana is a Lecturer in Psychology in the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences, Loughborough University. After completing PhD research into the effectiveness of physical activity interventions in the treatment of chronic insomnia, Iuliana undertook post-doctoral work examining the role of psychological, biochemical and sleep factors in predicting post-operative outcomes following obesity-related surgery. Iuliana's current interests include sleep quality and longer term health outcomes, and relationships between sleep duration and metabolic health.

Dr Maureen Tomeny

Dr Maureen Tomeny

Maureen Tomeny is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Clinical Director for primary care psychological therapy services within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, UK.

As a Visiting Fellow of the Clinical Sleep Research Unit within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University she maintains a specialised research interest in the development of psychological services for insomnia. Maureen has wide experience in delivering sleep management training to health and social care professionals, and in personally delivering psychological therapies for insomnia.

Adam Pryor

Adam Pryor

Adam Pryor is a Translation Scientist specialising in technology-enhanced learning at the National Centre for Sport and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM) within the School of Sport, Exercise and Health Sciences at Loughborough University. A graduate in biological science, Adam worked on the effectiveness of MOOCs to promote student engagement and taught effective learning design at the University of Leicester before joining the Translation Science team al Loughborough University. Adam designed and produced a range of resources for the current version of Sleepful, and has supported the collation and realisation of the whole programme.

Dr Erica Kucharczyk

Dr Erica Kucharczyk

Following doctoral research into the occupational impact of sleep quality, Erica Kucharczyk worked within the EPSRC funded ENACT project supporting the development of the prototype version of Sleepful and trialling user-controlled sleep assessment software. Erica has since developed a career as a user experience professional, and is currently User Research Lead for HM Revenue and Customs.

Professor Shaun Lawson

Professor Shaun Lawson

Shaun Lawson is professor of Social Computing in the Department of Computer and Information Sciences, Northumbria University, Newcastle, UK. Shaun was appointed the UK's first Professor in social computing in 2011 at the University of Lincoln. His research primarily explores the use and significance of social media, and other digital services, in people's lives, and he has conducted applied work in areas such as health and wellbeing, politics and activism, and sustainability. Shaun was Principal Investigator on the EPSRC funded ENACT project which developed the prototype Sleepful programme.

Andrew Garbett

Andrew Garbett

Andy is a graduate student within Open Lab at Newcastle University, UK. As a Research Assistant at the University of Lincoln he worked within the EPSRC funded ENACT project and developed the prototype version of Sleepful. His current research focuses on enabling citizens to take a leading role in the commissioning and design of technologies and services that support new models of participation between communities and local government.

Professor Niro Siriwardena

Niroshan Siriwardena is an academic general practitioner and director of the Community and Health Research Unit, the research centre for the School of Health and Social Care, University of Lincoln. His interests include quality improvement and implementation research to identify and address important gaps in primary and pre-hospital (ambulance) healthcare provision. As co-investigator on the EPSRC funded ENACT project he supported the development of the prototype Sleepful programme and explored enduser attitudes towards online treatments for insomnia.
